Norman Reedus Interview – Comic Con 2015 (Transcrição)
The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus is heading back to the big screen with Robert Kirkman’s ‘Air’.
Interviewer: What’s it like developing a character for film versus a character for television?
Norman Reedus: Well the good thing about T.V. is the timeframe, like I can do something and sort of drop a little seed behind me as I do it. And then a year later that seed turns into a tree and becomes a part of the story. You know that’s kind of, hard to do on a movie. Movies sort of have to develop a bunch of back stories to develop this character and convey all these different things; or not. But you’ve watched my hair grow on television, you know, it’s different, y’know. So I, I kind of, I kind of like that, to be honest.
Interviewer: And this film in particular, it’s, it’s mostly the two of you so that inner play, and you described it as, claustrophobic. What was it like having the limitations of the time you get in a film to tell the story and then having the two of you to play off?
Norman Reedus: It was interesting, cause I, I kind of just met him right when we started and we had to become friends while we filmed and because there’s only two people, you don’t really have time to hang out or go to your trailer and talk or sit outside and have a cup of coffee. You kind of have to go “Hi How are you? let’s do this” and you kind of have to figure each other out as you’re doing things.
Excerpt from film: You can’t just open one of the tanks and put me inside”, “Why not? We’re the only ones here!”, “I’m not doing this!”
Interviewer: Have you seen any good Walking Dead cosplay this year? I know you judged last year, right?
Norman Reedus: Yeah me and Greg Nicotero did that, we judged a little cosplay thing, it was really fun. Sometimes I see people that dress as me. Like they come as Norman, like in my clothes. And wearing my hat, and wearing these sunglasses. And, yeah I think they’re like getting laid and stuff. I know, it’s kind of weird right? I don’t know, I remember shooting a scene in The Walking Dead and ah, there was a zombie standing over there in the woods behind me and I’m sort of sitting like this. And then I look over and the zombie is sitting like this and I kind of stretch this way and the zombie stretches…and he’s doing everything I’m doing. Then, after we cut I go “What are you doing?” And he goes “Well I cosplay as you, so I’m getting down all your movements” and I’m like wow.
Interviewer: Do you have a favorite zombie kill?
Norman Reedus: I really like the chain and the three head zombies you know boom, boom, boom, that was kind of, kind of awesome. And I liked reaching my fingers into the skull and ripping his spinal cord out and beating that cop with the head, that was fun.

Entrevistador: E este filme particularmente, é, é na maior parte vocês dois, então (tem) aquele jogo interno, e você descreveu isso como claustrofóbico. Como foi ter as limitações de tempo que você tem em um filme para contar a história e então ter vocês dois atuando?
Norman Reeds: Foi interessante, pois eu, eu meio que simplesmente conheci ele logo quando começamos e nós tínhamos que nos tornar amigos enquanto filmávamos e porque há somente duas pessoas, você na verdade não tem muito tempo para sair ou ir para o seu trailer e conversar ou sentar no lado de fora e tomar uma xícara de café. Você meio que tem que dizer “Oi, como vai? Vamos fazer isso” e você meio que tem que conhecer um ao outro enquanto faz as coisas.

Entrevistador: Você viu algum cosplay bom de The Walking Dead esse ano? Eu sei que você julgou ano passado, certo?
Norman Reedus: Sim, eu e o Greg Nicotero fizemos isso, nós julgamos um evento pequeno de cosplay, foi muito divertido. Às vezes eu vejo pessoas que se vestem como eu. Tipo, eles vem como Norman, tipo, com as minhas roupas. Usando meu chapéu e usando estes óculos. E sim, eu penso que eles estão transando e tudo mais. Eu sei, isso é meio estranho, né? Eu não sei, eu me lembro de estar filmando uma cena em The Walking Dead, e tinha um zumbi em pé lá no meio da floresta atrás de mim e eu estou sentado desse jeito. E então eu olho e o zumbi está sentado assim e eu meio que me alongo desse jeito e o zumbi se alonga…e ele está fazendo tudo que eu estou fazendo. Então, depois que paramos eu (vou) “O que você está fazendo?” E ele (vai) diz “Bom, eu faço cosplay de você, então eu estou pegando todos os seus movimentos” e eu fico tipo “wow”.
Entrevistador: Você tem alguma morte de zumbi favorita?
Norman Reeds: Eu gosto muito da corrente e das três cabeças de zumbi, sabe, boom, boom, boom, isso foi meio, meio espetacular. E eu gostei de enfiar meus dedos no crânio e arrancar o cordão espinhal e acertar aquele policial com a cabeça, aquilo foi divertido.
